چکیده

Metal nanoparticles on the surface of porous supports have found numerous applications in different areas science. Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, which proceeds cobalt metal nanoparticles, is an efficient way to convert renewables and fossil feedstocks into alternative fuels. The stability catalysts essential even crucial parameter can be significantly improved by promotion. In this paper, a combination operando Quick-XAS, NAP-XPS, high resolution electron microscopy imaging, DFT modeling alongside with catalytic experiments has provided deep insights evolution bismuth promoter structure cobalt-bismuth supported carbon nanotubes. We uncovered noticeable migration metallic occurring during reduction step, leads redispersion over nanoparticles. Cobalt facilitated presence bismuth. working catalyst contains bimetallic located nanoparticle shell. promotion resulted increase stability. Characterization suggest preferential localization mobile at steps edges hinders sintering deposition improves

Solvent Pre-treated Effects of Carbon Nanotube-supported Cobalt Catalysts on Activity and Selectivity of Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis

In this study, the effect of preparation technique of carbon nanotube (CNT)-supported cobalt catalysts on the activity and selectivity of Fischer-Tropsch synthesis (FTS) was studied. Different concentrations of acetic acid were used for the pretreatment of the catalyst support to modify the surface properties of CNT. This modification improved the reduction degree and dispersion of supported co...

Size and Promoter Effects on Stability of Carbon-Nanofiber-Supported Iron-Based Fischer–Tropsch Catalysts

The Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis converts synthesis gas from alternative carbon resources, including natural gas, coal, and biomass, to hydrocarbons used as fuels or chemicals. In particular, iron-based catalysts at elevated temperatures favor the selective production of C2-C4 olefins, which are important building blocks for the chemical industry. Bulk iron catalysts (with promoters) were conventi...

Deactivation Behavior of Carbon Nanotubes Supported Cobalt Catalysts in Fischer-Tropsch Synthesis

The effects of electronic properties of inner and outer surfaces of Carbon Nano Tubes (CNTs) on the deactivation of cobalt Fischer-Tropsch (FT) catalysts were studied. The comparative characterization of the fresh and used catalysts by TEM, XRD, TPR, BET and H2 chemisorption showed that cobalt re-oxidation, cobalt-support interactions and sintering are the main sources o...

Enhancing Cobalt Dispersion in Supported Fischer-Tropsch Catalysts Via Controlled Decomposition of Cobalt Precursors

Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is a part of Gas-to Liquids (GTL), Biomass-to-Liquids (BTL) and Coal to Liquids (CTL) technologies, which produce alternatives clean fuels from natural gas, biomass and coal. The catalytic performance of cobalt catalysts in Fischer-Tropsch synthesis strongly depends on the size of cobalt particles in nanoscale range (6-30 nm). Cobalt catalysts are usually prepared via ...
